The side of the van may read ‘Property Maintenance and Management Services’ but we don’t just maintain we can do a whole lot more.
We were approached by a customer who wanted a garden arbour and, despite many hours of searching, they couldn’t find anything suitable. Either it was the wrong size, poor quality or too expensive.
Working with them we designed an arbour to their exact requirement, custom made to fit their garden. Incorporating sleepers to form a raised bed, sturdy 3” upright supports, lap joints and notched stretchers it provides two and half square meters of alfresco dining space.

There was much discussion during the build of the arbour, not about what it should look like but if it was an arbour or if it was a pergola.
The internet was consulted, the OED referred to, people were polled but in the end we think it is an arbour.
